Feedback from Battam Woods
Fri 04 Mar 2016Dear Mr Lee,
I felt I had to write to tell you about the three delightful mornings I have spent with the Year 1 and 2 children from your school. It was an absolute pleasure to welcome them to the woods. They were very well behaved and excellent listeners. A special thank you has to go to those children who visited yesterday (Miss Alvey's Class) and heroically battled on through the snow, wind and rain!
All three groups participated in all activities with enthusiasm and were not put off by a bit of mud.
I hope the children all gained something from their visit and I hope to see more children from Glebelands at Battram in the future.
Congratulations on having such lovely children!

Appointment of New Head Teacher
Thu 28 Jan 2016Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am delighted to inform you that the Governors have appointed Mr Lawrence Lee as our permanent Headteacher.
This appointment follows a very rigorous, two day selection process during which candidates were extensively tested on their suitability to lead our school forward. The Governors were looking for a Headteacher to build on Glebelands' many strengths and bring innovative ideas for the future; to be accessible and have a consultative style of leadership; and to bring a rigorous approach to school improvement for the benefit of all our children.
Governors were unanimous in their decision to appoint Lawrence. We know he is extremely well placed to continue our journey and has a clear mandate to lead us forward. His core belief is that every child has the right to an outstanding education to enable them to reach their full potential.
Mr Lee has been Acting Headteacher since September and we look forward to him continuing to lead Glebelands Primary on its journey to becoming an outstanding school.
We hope you will join us in welcoming and supporting him in his new post .
Yours sincerely
Sue Rames
Chair of Governors
