At Glebelands we believe that RE is an integral subject to develop children's social and emotional wellbeing. RE supports to develop community cohesion and understand of the world around them. We follow the local authority SACRE scheme of work which is developed with teachers and faith leaders to reflect the population of the city. All pupils in England have the right access RE as part of a broad and balanced curriculum. 

Parents may request to withdraw their child from religious education on the grounds that they wish to make their own provision. This alternative is the responsibility of the parents. The right to withdraw is applicable to all schools including those with or without a designation. All request must be submitted in writing to the headteacher and must outline how parents intend to provide a broad and balanced RE curriculum.
