Medicines

Medicines

Children on short-term antibiotics should remain at home until the course has finished.

Some of our First Aiders can supervise children taking their own medicine providing clear written instructions have been obtained from parents/guardians and the school has indicated that it is able to do so. All medicines must be clearly labelled with the child’s name, dosage to be given, frequency and name of drug being given and must be in a child proof container. We take particular care to liaise with parents in respect of asthma. When children take medicines the named First Aiders will supervise them at the school
