Covid related absence

Updated government guidance was received by all schools during the summer holidays detailing new Covid measures to be introduced from the start of term. A key difference from last term states that children should continue to come to school even when a member of their household has tested positive for Covid.  If a parent has tested positive, they should ideally arrange for another family member or friend to drop off and collect their children from school. If this is not possible, please inform the office as soon as possible as we may be able to assist with transport.

If your child shows signs of having Covid – a persistent cough, high temperature or loss of taste/smell, they must not come to school and should arrange to have a PCR test. Parents who decide not to have their child tested will be requested to keep them away from school for a period of 10 days.

The school’s Covid risk assessment can be found on our website and we will continue to keep parents updated of any changes to the guidance. We thank you for your continued support.
