School of Sanctuary
We are now the first, and only, School of Sanctuary in Leicester!
We achieved this status for the work we have done to raise awareness of the issues around refugees and asylum seekers in Leicester. Part of this involved collecting toiletries and food for Welcome Packs to help people when they are struggling, and also setting up "Leicester Schools Welcome Refugees" to persuade other schools to do likewise.
47 other schools in the City and the County, have now joined us in "Leicester Schools Welcome Refugees" and we continue to work to involve more.
