Stimulating Young Minds

Class 6

Welcome To Class 6!

This term we will be reading

'The Lion Who Stole My Arm' by Nicola Davis

We will be completing lots of written tasks based on what we have read each week.

During the autumn term we will be improving our skills and understanding of place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division (with lots of times tables practise).

Our Science topic this half term is 'Sound'.

We will be understanding how a sound is made.

Our topic work for this half term will be a geography unit on Africa. We will be looking at physical and human features and comparing this to Europe.

Our R.E. topic this term is 'Who Inspires Me?'. Throughout the topic we will be questioning how past figures have influence the lives of people today.

We will focus on E-Safety during our computing time.

This term's P.S.H.E. lessons will encourage the children to really think about what it is that makes them special. The topic is called 'Magnificent Me'.

The Art & D.T. lessons that class 6 will be taking part in will be delivered by Mrs Pugh. She will relate all of her lessons to the topic work that we are doing. The children will be using a wide range of materials, tools and techniques to complete their given tasks.
