Class 6

Hello parents

Welcome to week 2 of home learning. This week we have created a more structured daily approach to your days based on parent feedback. You can of course use this timetable how you like. We have tried to create plans that cover literacy, maths, reading and a variety of curriculum areas. I am always at the end of an email to support you and your children with learning. I am hoping to do some video teaching soon and upload these to either Dojo or the website (watch this space). I will also try and and post a daily mindful exercise on Dojo to help children (and parents!) relax and focus. If you did not manage to collect a copy of the novel last week we have scanned the pages and put them on ppt, I will also try to read each chapter on video and upload.

Mrs Van Breugel

Welcome to class 6 and year 3

Home Learning Pack - Week beginning 23rd March 2020

Working from home:

We will keep updating the learning packs every week. Continue to keep in touch via Dojo. I will be online every day checking dojo and my email to support learning at home.

Below are websites you may find useful however from next week we will provide a clearer daily timetable to support your teaching at home.

Twinkl: This is a website with a variety of resources that we often use in school. They are offering free use of the site during school closure by following this link https://www.twinkl.co.uk/offer and entering the following code CVDTWINKLHELPS. Please look at the Key Stage 2    7 - 9 section.

Scratch and Turtle Academy: Children can practise their coding skills https://scratch.mit.edu/ and https://turtleacademy.com/

Continue to have unlimited access to TimesTable Rockstars https://play.ttrockstars.com/auth/school/student

LCF is making available its online resources for Primary FREE for the next 3 months.

Simply use the master promo code LCF2020sch to create a single user login at Babelzone (French/Spanish) Englishzone (games/Phonics) or MathsZone for any pupil or teacher.

As always, I encourage children to read as often as they can to continually build upon and broaden their vocabulary. Keep an eye on Class Dojo and this page for any further updates. Should the school receive notification to close, I will provide an exercise book for children to work in along with a couple of reading books pitched at the appropriate level.
